The Galaxy of Electrified Heat (2024)

Video installation
Variable dimensions

The Galaxy of Electrified Heat turns the infrastructure of hydroelectric power into an unstable, creature-like installation. Thermal-camera footage of a dam landscape in Vietnam's Central Highlands is projected across curved mirrors held in steel frames, creating a suspended turbine-like body. The images splinter, reflect and move across the gallery, producing a tension between technological promise and ecological destruction. Renewable energy appears not as a clean abstraction but as a form of modern magic whose scale can be both seductive and devouring.
